Reiki Friends may Healing Love and Reiki Flow to Phyllis Lei Furomoto, Grandaughter of Hawayo Takata. Today we hear that this Incredible Woman, who is in very many Reiki Lineages, is now receiving hospice care. Anyone who appreciates the incredible contribution that Phyllis has made to Reiki, and the wonderful reiki healing energies will feel drawn to send reiki to assist Phyllis Lei Furumoto at this time. This message on facebook from her partner Joyce M Winough for sharing this.
Dear Friends,
I am home early from Hawaii for I was clear it was time for me to be with Phyllis. On Tuesday, Phyllis went to her oncologist to get the results of her last PET scan taken a few days previously. Phyllis had great support from Paul and Bonnie driving, waiting to see the doctor and listening to the reports.
From November and the last scan, cancer cells have advanced rapidly to more places in bone and liver. The Oncologist has recommended intravenous chemotherapy once a week. Phyllis has been on two different oral chemotherapy since June without positive results. As Phyllis is quite weak now and has lost 50 pounds since her time with you all in Madrid in October, the chemotherapy protocol would be difficult on her physical body. The other option is palliative care, making sure that Phyllis is comfortable and as pain free as possible. Her back pain started about the time we came back home from New York City in November. She has metastasis to bone of her spine as well as recently diagnosed hairline fractures.
Today, Phyllis has declined the chemotherapy protocol and her oncologist has ordered for hospice care. She will have in home nursing check ups, monitored pain medication, hospital bed and other in home care aids. Phyllis is surrounded by loved ones as well as her brothers and sisters. The Usui 2 will be held as planned with Paul to facilitate with shared leadership and Phyllis to join in, as possible, on line from her bed. Of course, everything is subject to change. How do you make God laugh? Tell her you have plans.
Phyllis would like to thank all of you for the Reiki you have been sending, the flowers and cards, feeling you all close.
I will write again as the rest of out time together progresses.
With Love,
Joyce

Liebe Freunde,
Joyce
